The list of school closures for the week of Jan. 20 grows as possible winter weather approaches the Gulf Coast.
- Baldwin County Public Schools – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Bishop State Community College (all campuses): Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Mobile – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Central Christian School in Baldwin County: closed through Wednesday.
- Chickasaw City Schools – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Clarke County School District – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Coastal Alabama Community College – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Conecuh County schools – closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Cottage Hill Academy – closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Escambia County, Ala. Schools – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Escambia County, Fla. Public Schools – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Faith Christian Academy – Closed Tuesday.
- Floretta P. Carson Visual and Performing Arts Academy – closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- George County School District – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Government Street Christian School and Child Development Center: closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Greene County School District – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Gulf Shores City Schools – Closed Tuesday.
- Mobile County Public Schools – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Monroe County Public Schools – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Okaloosa County School District – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Orange Beach City Schools – Students will participate in virtual learning Tuesday and be schools will be closed on Wednesday.
- Prichard Prep – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Santa Rosa County Schools – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- St. James Episcopal School in Fairhope – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- St. Luke Episcopal School – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Troy University -Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- UMS-Wright Preparatory School – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- University of Mobile: closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Ingram Dining Hall will remain open for campus residents. Students should monitor their UM email and official UM social media for the latest updates.
- University of South Alabama – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Dining Hall is open Tuesday until 7 p.m. and from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, but all other campus dining options are closed.
The Jag Mart – located in Azalea Hall – has grab-and-go meals, snacks and drinks for students living on campus. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Information regarding the university’s operating schedule on Thursday, Jan. 23, will be provided by 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
USA Health is providing updates separately regarding operating hours for clinics, but all hospitals and the Freestanding Emergency Room remain open. - Washington County Public Schools – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
