Netflix has cast Denzel Washington in the role of Hannibal, an ancient Carthaginian general, in an untitled movie with Antoine Fuqua.

Antoine Fuqua and Denzel Washington have made great movies for the Equalizer franchise as well as Training Day in the past, so many fans are excited to hear that the two of them are back to work again.

John Logan will be preparing the script, and this new film is in the early stages of development.
