John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are still in contact with their surrogate after expanding their family twice in 2023.

The couple welcomed daughter Esti Maxine in January and son Wren Alexander via surrogate five months later.

Legend opened up about their surrogacy journey, emphasizing the importance of their relationship with the surrogate. Teigen clarified her pregnancy loss with her son Jack as a life-saving abortion and expressed gratitude for their surrogate, Alexandra.

“It’s different doing it with a surrogate. We developed a really nice relationship with her—we were just really grateful,” Legend shared. “You put your body through a lot to carry someone else’s child.”

The couple recently celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary and continues to prioritize their relationship with date nights and getaways.
