Jermaine Dupri Calls Out TikTok For Muting His Song on the App

Jermaine Dupri has called out TikTok for putting his song on mute and expresses his complaints about the path hip-hop is going and how social media is helping the decline.

He then took his viewpoint to Instagram telling the culture needs to stop sharing their creativity so openly over social media.

He stated, “I was just watching this video that Issac Hayes Jr. posted with JAY-Z talking about the culture giving away the culture to these apps. And then we have to go to these apps and ask for s**t that belongs to us. And I thought about me because Tik Tok muted one of my videos recently.”

He went on saying, “It’s my music, with my voice on it, and I gotta ask these n**gas to unmute me, right? That’s bulls**t. And in my Hip Hop 50 resolution, one of my Hip Hop 50 resolutions was that, we can’t keep going for this type of s**t. We gotta give a f**k.”

He finished by saying, “I also saw a video where somebody said they was disappointed in the BET Hip Hop Awards because the lack of participation. I grew up in an era where Jimmy Iovine gave a f**k. Andre Harrell, rest in peace, gave a f**k. Puff gave a f**k. Russell Simmons gave a f**k. Lyor [Cohen] gave a f**k. Kevin Lyles. All of these guys. They gave a f**k.”
